Mobile social network Buddymob in Facebook deal
The Facebook deal will allow Buddymob users to post to and read from their Facebook accounts, right from their Buddymob app. Along with the Facebook announcement, Buddymob releases a number of new functions based on user requests. “Buddies” can now locate other Buddymob users on Google Maps even if they’re not friends. There’s also a new “public timelines”, which allows you to share your posts with everyone - much like Twitter or Facebook.
Mobile social networking app BuddyMob coming to iPhone
BuddyMob is a free mobile application from Kiboo for Android handsets. It provides access to a variety of social networks (Twitter, MSN, Gtalk and AIM) from a mobile device, with one log-in. Kiboo has announced a whole slew of updates to be made to the app, after feedback from BuddyMob users - most importantly that the Android app is being released for both iPhone and Symbian later this year.
BuddyMob launching on Android for mobile social networking
If you’re into social networking and want to do it on your Android mobile then it seems as if BuddyMob is the thing for you. BuddyMob has been developed by Kiboo and starts its beta testing today - you can sign up for it here.
Developed specifically for the Android OS, BuddyMob uses the contacts stored on the device to create a list of ‘buddies’ who can then choose whether they can be seen on a map or contacted. Integrating so closely with Android has, for example, allowed the BuddyMob guys to link the camera and GoogleMaps for geo-tagging. The BuddyMob application enables all activity to be streamed live to contacts or other social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
We’re proud to present to you: Buddymob the app!
The Google’s Android blog was lucky enough to be contacted by Kiboo, a mobile application development company in Belgium that has developed a new app for the Android called Buddymob. Can you spot Buddymob on the screen:
