iPhone games firm Booyah gets $4.5m iFund investment
mobile social networking US iPhone developer Booyah has raised $4.5 million of Series A financing from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers' iFund, following in ngmoco's footsteps.

The company was set up by former executives from Blizzard Entertainment and Insomniac Games, and it's currently working on its first iPhone application.

Booyah is not strictly a game, though. It's "a playful life companion that combines the immersive experiences that draw consumers to massively multi-player online games, the interconnectedness of social media, and the power of the iPhone and iPod touch."
