The 4G user experience «
Back in 2007, I conducted research on trends involving emerging technologies and next generation networks as part of my job at Alcatel-Lucent’s wireless team. That summer, I joined a cross-functional team to develop a vision portraying how mobile broadband and, most specifically, the rollout of 4G wireless networks will help improve productivity, booster education and enable new ways to communicate, socialize, collaborate and enjoy life. The following 8 minute video shows one of the outcomes of that research. We focused on understanding the needs and expectations of two fictional personas: Zoe, a millennial living in the year 2010, and Ethan, a middle age professional in 2015. The goal was to project today’s emerging trends into a no so distant future in which they become commonplace and mainstream experiences. Getting to work on this stuff with the best in the industry was a very rewarding experience.
