Loopt Jumps Ahead Of Facebook And MySpace On iPhone. Told You.
Facebook and MySpace have great mobile apps. At least, they’re great if you’re satisfied with a subset of the features you get on their normal websites. But they don’t yet take advantage of location/presence features on the iPhone and other platforms. We said this summer that they ignore location at their peril, and we still believe it.

Facebook mobile has 15 million users News
The number of social networkers accessing Facebook from their mobile phone has tripled since the start of 2008.
Use of Facebook mobile products has grown from 5 million active users at the beginning of the year to 15 million, Wayne Chang, an engineer on Facebook's mobile team, wrote on a Facebook blog.

MySpace Delivers Video to Mobile Phones
MySpace users with mobile phones are about to find out if they can walk and watch TV at the same time.
On Wednesday, News Corp's online social network will make video clips from its members' pages available for viewing on mobile devices including the BlackBerry Bold, Palm Centro, Motorola Q9, LG Voyager, Nokia N95 and Samsung Instinct.
Facebook Mobile: 1 Million Status Updates/Day, 15 Million Active Users
Facebook released some new stats on mobile usage tonight:
* In the first 24 hours after status commenting was released on Facebook’s standard mobile website, users made over 1 million status comments.
* The number of “active users” (which Facebook normally defines to be active in the last 90 days) of Facebook mobile services has grown from 5 million at the beginning of this year to 15 million today
