China Mobile testing new SNS site

China Mobile has begun testing its own new social network service (SNS) Web site, Mompy.com, an industry insider told Interfax on Sept. 12. "At present, only those who have China Mobile's invitation codes can register to the new site. The date when the service will be officially launched is unknown," the source, who wished to remain anonymous, said. Due to the development of the mobile Internet industry and the decline of traditional voice services, China Mobile has focused more on Internet-based services in recent years.
