The social campaign will be displayed between January and March 2009 in mobile Internet for customers of all carriers in the US.
0.8m UK and over 4 million US mobile subscribers now access social networking sites on their phones
MySpace and Facebook aren’t the only players in the market, either.
The number of people using their cell phone to access social networks has tripled in the past year from 3.4% to 9.6% as of October 2008. That's according to The Kelsey Group and ConStat in a report released on Monday by eMarketer. And 15.8% are using their cell phones for local product and services searches. Social networking is more prevalent outside the US but FaceBook users have grown from 5 to 15 million during 2008.
