Yep, that's right. A day after Pink Visual unveiled FapMapper to the world, along comes InfoMedia's iFart v2.3 for iPhone.
VertureBeat says it builds on the original standalone iFart app by adding in a social element that allows users to share fart noises with their 'Fart Budz'.
Users will have to register with the GameDock connected gaming platform first though. Once that's done, any fart noise sent using iFart will resound instantly on the recipient's iPhone (using Apple's push messaging tech).

Today, a main project of mine, Nuux is opening its doors officially for the public Beta! Nuux is a mobile social network dedicated to real-time social nightlife information. I would like to take the opportunity to let you know some details about this network and how it works. I will try not to make too much of a plug, but I am biased, since I’m the main person behind this, so reader beaware! ;)
Ok, so Nuux is about real-time nightlife information. You can checkout live where friends are partying, checkin to locations and events, message your friends for free, see what’s the hottest venues and generally get insider information about a particular town. To get my motivation behind this project maybe I can explain how it all began:
I was going out with some friends and ended up in a place where we had already paid some cover charge but it was not good at all. How would it be to have some network to check-out what other places and events are like, right now? An app to see where your friends are right now, how they like it, see pics, and recommendations from people just like me?

Get Social allows users to perform instant updates to twitter, Facebook, Google talk, Yahoo! Messenger and virginmedia.com. This enables people to stay in touch and up to date with their friends and social media connections at all times.
The service is initially launching on just a few mobile platforms. These platforms include the Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530, Sony Ericsson W595 the Sony Ericsson K770i. More handsets are to follow in the new year.

Google is on an acquisition spree to boost its web services and content offering, with a sharp focus on the mobile platform. Having recently snapped up AdMob, Teracent and On2 Technologies, it now has its eyes on local business reviews site Yelp, which has been increasingly active in the mobile world recently, since its service integrates logically with the location awareness of a handset. It has a mobile version of its web site and downloadable applications for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and Palm webOS.
According to The New York Times, Google first held acquisition talks with Yelp several years ago, but these have now got more serious, and could lead to a deal before the holiday. Yelp is said to be asking for at least $500m, according to insiders.

Now you can tweet directly from the home screen of your Nokia handset. Thanks to the addition of Twitter to Nokia Messaging for social networks. This is still in beta stage but its an important integration from Nokia's as well as a user's point of view. Majority of mobile users today, especially in developed nations and also in some developing countries, are hooked to social media that includes services like Twitter, Facebook, Orkut etc. With the addition of Twitter, Nokia Beta Labs has also enhanced the Facebook experience on Nokia handsets.

More than just gaming, I like to see mobile platforms create a dedicated community that exists on the smartphones or mobile devices, it can create a more loyal customer base. Such a community can go beyond simply selling, chatting, or tweeting.
Other online society networks like Facebook or MySpace can be invited to participate. And much like the way Facebook works, dedicated platform social network can allow companies to participate and interact with the base. I'm sure if Apple offers companies the opportunity to introduce new products and services to the generally cash-rich Apple fans, they'll jump at the opportunity.
In owning a dedicated social network in a mobile device will enable platforms to own a larger control of their users' mobile experience. But I say "control" with an asterisk. Screw this up and it can end badly. Mobile platforms needs to make sure they provide the best possible experience because they competing with others in the market.

As 2010 draws nearer, techies can expect a key year for communication technology with Apple set to launch a new iPhone, Microsoft to launch its Microsoft Mobile 7, and there's the Google Android 2 on the way.
Launched in China in October 2009, the Apple iPhone 3GS is now conquering the world's most populous mobile phone market and is set for a great start to 2010. But Apple even now is already working on the phone's next generation.
Matthew Bath, the technology editor of WHICH Magazine, says "You can't escape the fact that the Apple iPhone has absolutely revolutionized this industry in two years and whatever Apple calls its next version, which should launch in about July 2010, it's going to be probably still the most anticipated launch of the year" .
The iPhone is not without market rivals. Most notably, Google Android is now offering a competitive operating system, with key applications and gadgets. This will be expanded in 2010, with the launch of Android 2.0, also known as Eclair.

Facebook and Twitter are surely be the most popular and most influential social networks on the Internet. But Indian SMS-based social network GupShup’s 26 million members proves that sites not built and hosted from the San Francisco Bay Area can attract large audiences.
GupShup published a press release this morning claiming a user base of 26 million people, adding the claim that this makes it India’s largest social network:

The Web is changing before our eyes. Traffic to almost every major media and portal site has been in a free-fall since September 2008, according to Nicholas Moerman, a planning intern with Proximity in London. This begs the question: If we are spending more time on the Web, not less, just where did our attention go? The answer is, unsurprisingly, social networking sites. According to Moerman's analysis, they buck the trend.
Social networking is on a tear. Other than Google, few sites loom larger today in brokering traffic and attention flows than Twitter and Facebook. The New York Times reported recently that Twitter will soon become one of its top 10 traffic drivers. Facebook alone grabs 25% of the entire Web's page views, according to an analysis by Perry Drake of Drake Direct.

Today, UK location-based networking company Rummble announced it’s launching a version of its real-time, personalized recommendations application for Windows Phone, in addition to Android and iPhone applications.
Rummble is now available on an enormous number of cell phones and can be accessed via the mobile Web as well as SMS, although it’s user base (which numbered 60,000 this summer) is currently mostly in the UK.
The service has been quietly operating for the last year or so. It combines some of the things that make Foursquare and Gowalla great, with some of what people have grown to love about applications like Yelp and Urbanspoon. It combines your friend and social graph with information about what people like and do.

In Spain we’re struggling to recover from the recession. We’re behind our European neighbors and our unemployment rate is now 18%. A recovery is apparently coming, but in the meantime, people shuffle along, cashing unemployment checks, desperately looking for work and figuring out how to save here and there. A number of initiatives are mushrooming to help us do this. Television programs, individual blogs, comparison shopping sites, you name it. Yunait, an idea born to Pablo Elosúa and Santiago Perez, isn’t something you’d call innovative or a breakthrough. They haven’t received seed funding (yet) and don’t have major news to tell. But their idea is simple and well timed. In fact, they’re getting quite a bit of press coverage in Spain.
It’s been ages now that we’ve had coupon and cash back sites, discount directories, and price comparison engines. Nothing new about that. Elosua and Perez wanted to take those to a different level, taking advantage of today’s online social playground. When we find something juicy (be it news or an offer) we’re intrinsically inclined to want to pass it. We are proud social animals. Look at everything we’re sharing on our countless social network profile updates, restaurant, hotel and business reviews.

Mobiluck is another company that has rapidly realized the need for mobile information and mobile geo-locating people and places.
Many companies are moving to the mobile space for a variety of reasons, but businesses that make the jump sooner tend to see the benefits much earlier and the relationships between users and companies tends to be stronger.
Companies providing mobile web content, mobile media, mobile conversation tools, and mobile entertainment are finding themselves ahead of the curve and supplying their audiences with exactly what they need.
